Learning about Dugongs!

Posted in Lessons on January 1, 2008 by smrath

Together in class, we will be learning about Dugongs, a fascinating animal that lives in the coastal area of the Indian Ocean.  We will work through several websites together in class, asking and answering questions together to better understand how some animals are related and classified.  The lesson itself is password protected because I don’t want you to get a sneak peek before class.  Feel free to check out the link below to learn about Dugongs beforehand!

beakersI am currently a grad student at NKU, working towards my Masters of Arts in Teaching with certification in Middle Grade Science.  This weblog is being designed as a practice site that will hopefully be put into use for my future science classes.  I will be developing assignments and projects for my class to complete, as well as accumulating some of the best resources around for my students and their parents.  The assignments and projects that I am currently posting would be in line with an 8th grade science class curriculum.
